About us
Who we are
Christian Education Development Advisory Centre (CEDAC) is an inter-denominational/ non-governmental organization. An association proprietor of schools from various denominations with a common dream and goal (otherwise known as the Member bodies/Churches). It was founded in 1947 by Proprietors of six (6) Bible-believing protestant churches (founding members). The purpose of the organization is to bring people to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through the building of schools and encouraging the teaching of CRK in schools and empowering the teachers who have a burden to carry this great assignment to completion.
CEDAC covers the 19 states of Northern Nigeria with its main office in Kaduna State. There are currently over six hundred (3500) men and women who have
benefited from our programs and several others who are associated with the organization. There is a great need to encourage the servants of the Lord Jesus Christ to remain faithful to their calling despite hardships.
This organization seeks to specialize in holding special trainings, workshops and seminars for those in ministry. Our work is generally in developing and encouraging these CRK teachers in the best way we can.
The theme verse that inspired the work to begin is taken from Luke 10:2, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Please join us in praying that the Lord of the harvest would send out more “laborers.”
Our Approach
Our Mission Statement
We work for moral reconstruction, purpose realization and theological enlightenment, focusing on issues of lack of Christian Knowledge in schools, shortage of teachers and the church’s neglect for subject and contributing towards the empowerment of all teachers who have answered the call to minister in these northern schools.
Our Vision Statement
To become a leading force in promoting, encouraging and facilitating both Christian and general education in schools in all northern States and the nation at large and empowering teachers who carry the burden of this huge task.
Our Mandate
To educate and form Church leaders, both clergy and lay, for service in Churches, classrooms and fellowships here in Northern Nigeria and the world as the call may require. We play a major role in shaping our members through academic study in the on-going CEDAC Summer and NCE programme and through workshops and seminars.
