Even though CEDAC is for the whole North, since the departure of Missionaries from CEDAC, it has been very difficult for the survival of CEDAC due to the non-cooperation of the members in terms of funds to continue the work. Thanks to God, the Churches have realized the need to revive CEDAC and continue with the noble assignment on Education to avoid the Biblical statement “My people are perishing for lack of knowledge”. CEAC has plans to expand and reach further into the north with our message and as such have drawn out a list of projects we intend to embark on to achieve this BIG dream.
Accomplished Projects
Through the awesome help of God Almighty and some vessels, we have succeeded in completing some minor projects we embarked on. These projects include:
- Landed Property: CEDAC has a residential property on the present NO 7 Gashash Road Barnawa G.R.A. which houses two houses for the staff and an office block with enough space for more development.
- Bookshop: We had a fully functional bookshop which we sold Bibles, Christian literatures, CRK Textbooks and others. We also supplied and distributed where needed. But after the Covid 19, things have been so difficult for us. Though we do not wish to stop here, we plan on expanding it (with more funds) into a self- sustaining business that will hopefully serve as another source of income for CEDAC in the future.
- Business Center: We also have a business centre for clean & clear work. We type, photocopy, laminate, bind at a reasonable price. This we also intend to build it into a self-sustaining business.
- Renovations: We have been able to renovate the office and furnish it, the two houses and the fence.
- Land Acquisition: CEDAC has been able to purchase two more piece of land at Tashan Iche-Kujama and another in Kudansa –Damishi in a quest for a permanent site for our programmes.
- Generating Set: This is for the purpose of supporting the business center and the office as a source of alternative power.
- Borehole: over the past few years, the organization had suffered the inadequate supply of water and with our current plans for the office complex project, the need for a more permanent solution to this problem was more prominent. We have by God’s grace succeeded in building a borehole in the compound.
Future Projects
- Admin Building:It will be called CEDAC HOUSE, Building a new administrative building in the current CEDAC compound is one of our most urgent needs. This will be a one- story building office complex with at least 6 – 10 office size rooms, a large conference hall, a large library/ computer room, eight lecture rooms, two guest rooms, a canteen and a store for the convenience of the programs.
- CEDAC Vehicle: As any organization, the need for mobility cannot be over-emphasized. We plan to purchase an official vehicle that will serve in the numerous duties that will require it.
- Computers: CEAC needs computers for its offices, business center and school, books for its library, furniture for offices, and lecture halls and conference hall, Addressing system etc
- Sponsor Teachers/Orphans/Widows/Displaced Through School: this idea aims at soliciting on behalf of the above, who wish to begin or continue with the CEDAC programme but have financial difficulties. Your contributions will either be to a particular person above or will be pooled for the project as a whole. No amount is too small or too big for this NEED.
- Skill Trainings: With the present economic hardship on the above, we will gladly train them on skills to sustain them of which with your kind hearted support, we can achieve that. We will need sewing machines, computers, hair dressing machines and the likes
CEDAC School: we have been effortlessly trying to make this dream a reality since the launch of the CEDAC Summer and NCE Programme. We are currently running our programme on borrowed PROPERTIES and by God’s grace have had very meager hitches, but with a CEDAC school, we are very confident that with your support, our dream of expansion will most definitely come true.
